Brighten up!

It's Easter, but outside it's raining & raining... Not that I long for a white Easter! Not at all! I'm longing for sunshine :) And when there's no sunshine outdoors, I just have to make it shine indoors! So I've painted a stool bright bright yellow - strongly inspired by my Canari Island Holiday: Canari Yellow! I just love it! It makes me smile :)

I bought a beautiful Lavendel/ Lilac paint as well. And I have big plans for my new old dining furniture :)

Little birdies

I have 11 birdies singing (and hanging) from my window!
All made of paper scraps...
They're really cute
- but not photogenics at all!
The photoes don't give them the credits they deserves...
Sorry about that... I guess I have to blame the rainy weather...

Just for fun... :)

- for you who think I'm just a cute little smiling angel...

Homemade pillow - hjemmelaget pute

I've finally made my first homemade pillow! *taadaadaa!* I've used leftovers from the Ida-carpet and this is the first one - a green & blue. I'll show you the red-pink-orange when I've found a fitting textile in these colors for the back of the pillow... Time to go hunting :)
The back side:
Now I have some paper scrap plans.... so long :)

One more easel card - for William

This card is made for cute William.
It's a preordered one, and hopefully
she who ordered it likes how it turned out.

This is the front of the card - laying flat.

The inside:
Wish you all a great day ♥

Grand Canaria-turné & Suzi Blu-book

I'm back home from a perfect tour with DameEtagen to Grand Canaria, Puerto Rico. We were invited to arrange a consert at the Sjømannskirken (Seamen's church) in Arguineguin, combined with participation at the local service and a show at the Norwegian pub Buster. So much fun! And - we also had lots of time for sunbathing and swimming :) Life as an Artist is not bad at all!

Playa de Amadores

And - I have a "Toot toot!" to share:
Suzi Blu has published the very first book of Student Art, and I'm in it!
Look at the pictures here - mine is one of them :)

A fabulous weekend!

Back home from a fantastic weekend at the Ski-gathering!
I just love these weekends!
Spending 3 whole days amongst a bunch of great ladies.
Talking, laughing, laughing, talking, and an ittybittytiny dose of cardmaking.
I made two cards, one big easel card and one small.
This is the big one (6"x6").
A H*U*G*E thank you
to all of you that made this weekend the best ever!
Allthough my stomache hurts badly because of all the laughing :)

In just a few weeks I'm no longer just Åshild, but Aunt Åshild! My little sister is having a baby in April - a babygirl. So, this soft blanket is for you, Sweet Ida ♥ I'm so looking forward to meet you!

I've used some of my lovely textiles to make the blanket. And it's filled/ stuffed with to layers of fleece. It's both warm and soft, and hopefully she'll enjoy using it.

A gift for Mother's Day

I made a usefull gift for my mother for this year's Mother's Day - a collection of cards.
I used the beautiful journaling box from Prima as a base. I decorated the front of the box and used some of the journaling cards for the set of cards. The papers are som gorgeous that I didn't need any embellishment. Stamps from Norsk Stempelblad.

Something old - something new...

Something old - something new
Something handmade - something blue

Still no time or inspiration to be creative... I'm spending most of my time working with the upcomming issue of Ett trykk. Hopefully I'll regain some inspiration when it's ready and sent off to print.

In the meanwhile I'll show you some of the stuff I made for the Fabruary issue. First this box/ cake/ gift.
Wish you all a great day :)
