I'm participating in an online class with the fabulous SuziBlu, and this is my very first Petit Doll Collage on canvas. I'm not quite satisfied with the bottom of my picture, but I like how the rest of it all turned out. And - *YAY* - I'm drawing! *big smile*

Et litt annerledes konfirmasjonskort

A friend of mine wanted me to make a card for her daughter's confirmation. She told me she is very in to 'boards', both fingerboards and snowboards, and I decided to make a skateboard card :) The hardest part was to find a way to incorporate a place to write... I ended up mounting the board on a piece of cardstock with place to write on on the 'back side' of the card. And if they want to give money along with the card, it's possible to roll the money tight and place it in one of the 'wheels'.

Konvoluttkort - Envelope card

One mini-card, based on Anne Bodil's tutorial for envelope cards. This card is made out of a 15x15 cm piece of paper.

I've only glued the 'flap' together in order to be able to stick a tag inside the card.
The envelope is held together with a ribbon, and the size is perfect if you want to give a money gift.

And one regular sized card. All the stamps are from our own stamp line.

I think the funniest part of making this canvas, was to make the background paper. So lovely messy! You can't imagine how my studio looks like right now... *lol*

I'm hooked on canvases! Love the textured surface and the endless posibilities of decoration. I've challenged myself to make one each day this Easter, based on the baby photoes and some great quotes. This one is filled with several techniques too... I even added some Gold Leaf :)

One more canvas

This canvas is a complete chaos of techniques! Paint, scraps, alcohol ink, transparencies, boubble wrap, glimmer mist, Pearl Ex, decoupage, doodling, wax crayons... It's made one a 'flat' canvas, sized 18 x 24 cm.

2S4Y on canvas

I did some cleaning in my studio and found this cute little canvas. It's one of the "Deep Edge" ones, sized 10 x 10 cm. Love 'em :) They can both hang on the wall and stand on a table. So versatile!

It's been so long since I used a 2S4Y sketch, but this week's sketch suited me perfect for this little deep edgy canvas project of mine! I just flipped the sketch...

The canvas is painted and decorated with scraps and a baby photo of mine. I've used decoupage glue and beeswax to seal the pieces to the canvas. Thanks for looking :) And happy Easter!

Nydelig påskedag på Haukeli-viddene

Dette hadde jeg - banna bein - aldri trodd jeg skulle lage et blogginnlegg om! Ikke nok med at jeg frivillig har reist på påskeferie TIL snøen!. Jeg var også den som foreslo å ta med skiene, sånn just in case... og tror du ikke jeg har brukt hele dagen i dag - på Haukeli, med ski på beina OG et stort glis rundt munnen? Det har vært helt supert! Nydelig vær, flott skareføre og akkurat passe opp- og ned-bakker for en skikkelig ski-dust som meg :)

Jeg har faktisk ruslet opp på 7-8 topper i dag! (Det er vel ingen regel på hvor høye disse toppene er?) Og fra toppene susa jeg nedover - uten å ploge *juuhuu* Jepp, om du leser litt stolthet mellom linjene her, så er det helt korrekt! Er stolt som en hane! Endelig en go'-opplevelse med ski på beina! (De siste gangene jeg har prøvd, har jeg endt opp som troppens slips... den som alltid henger 500 meter etter de andre og blir surere og surere...) Nå er det faktisk sånn at jeg sitter her med solbrente kinn og håper på like flott vær i morra, sånn at vi kan ta nok en tur innover... Bare se her - ikke rart det frister, sant?

Who would have thought I'd write a post like this in my blog? I've told the whole world I hate skiing, but today I've spent the whole day skiing! Beautiful weather, fabulous conditions and I just can't stop smiling! So proud and so happy :) Hopefully there will be a new beautiful day tomorrow...
