Time for a new 2S4Y-sketch. This week Laura has made a great sketch that filled my crazy head with ideas. That I can like! And as usual the finished card ends up totally different from what I had planned.... A soft and romantic look this time:mandag, juli 27, 2009

I've been complaining about my bicycle for a while, and my hubby (OP) actually wanted to by me a new one for my birthday. But I stopped him. It's way too expencive for a birthday present! And, I also told him (stupid, stupid, stupid Åshild!!!) that I first wanted to see the next couple of weeks how much I actually use the bike before concider buing a new one... So, instead of a brand new bike, he bought me a pink bike helmet! And new biking shorts (the ones that makes you feel like a overgrownedup Pamper's up'n go-kid...!). And I just know that the next weeks are dedicated to bicyckling - dressed up in a pink helmet and a sexy Pampers up'n go size XL...! What a scenario.... say no more...
Okey - just to be sure you got the whole picture: I did like my presents! I needed a new biker shorts, and I know (at least the rational part of me, if not quite the vainy part...) that I need a helmet if I'm to go biking. And, hopefully this will get me on the right track - and in some weeks I'll buy me a brand new bike on sale :)And we've spent this beautiful day at Skrim, a nearby mountain. We walked for about 3 hours and it was all just beautiful. A great way of spending the birthday :)

I haven't been entering a 2S4U-challenge for ages... and I've missed it! I'm a big fan of Kazan & Laura's great sketches. This week Kazan is the designer and here is my entry.

Some months ago I was asked to be the Featured Guest Designer for the genious product Stampboards from Ampersand Art Supply. Here is a link to the project I made: "We have meaning".
... but not on canvases. On walls. I've been visiting my mother's Summer Cabin, and several of the rooms have dark wooden wainscot on the walls. I so wanted to lighten the room, and started painting... and painting... and painting...
One of the room has a lot of 'dead space' because of the slanting roof, and my brilliant brain got an even more brilliant idea: design and make H*U*G*E drawers! There's a lack of storing places at the cabin too, so these drawers could really be usefull. Underneat you can see one of them - unpainted. The size of the drawer is actually 1x1x1 meter.
And finally - the room is all done! (The doors will be white too, but I left that job for my mother... she needs something to fill her loooong teacher holiday!) The drawers are 'hided' behind the old, blue bed.
And, while painting the first room, I slept in a room that was perfect when we were kids - with two homemade bunks (køyesenger). But when all us kids all grown up - and the beds still measures 1,75 m - it was time for an extreme makeover. And, I'm so sorry to say that I totally forgot to take the 'before' pictures... You just have to imagine a 4x4 m room, with wooden wainscot all covered with these bunks. The room was dark and unpractical...
...untill I got crazy with the hammer and the paint! And - taaadaaaa - here is the new room:
