The last canvas made in 2009 - strongly inspired by fabulous Kelly Rae. She is my big muse. I love her art. It's New Year's Eve and with this painting I'd like to send a H U G E thank you to each and every one of you who visit my blog. You make it worth blogging :)torsdag, desember 31, 2009

I'm joining the band of all of you that make Top 10 lists! I've had so much fun today visiting your blogs and looking at all the gorgeous stuff you've made this year. Thank you for the inspiration :)
I actually had an easy job picking mine, 'cause I haven't made tons of cards this year... I've played to much with paint and Art Journaling... *lol* But never the less - here's my list:
1. This was a card made for the mag - with selfdesigned new stamps. It's always exciting to use new stamps! And the card was made in my "Stiching maniac" period... You'll find more details here: Window card

2. This card was made for a girl's confirmation. All I knew about her was that she loved fingerboards. So I made a fingerboard card :) More details here: Fingerboard card
3. I had a crush on pastels (and sewing) (and flowers) (and pearls) (*lol*) when I made this card for the mag. More details: Pearls
4. This one just to show you that I have hÄnglar stamps too...! Not too many, and not too well used, but I have the stamps! And I've used my abosulute favourite color combo - red & turquoise. (I love the combo sooo bad that I'm about to fill my home with stuff in these colors!)
5. 2009 has been a year filled with beautiful moments, and making new friends are the most precious ones. This card was made for a beautiful woman that I hope to share tons of moments with in the next years. More details: Ingrid go'ing
6. I renewed our bedroom this year, and put up a gorgeous wallpaper. Still madly in love with it! And a dear friend of mine challenged me to make a card with the wallpaper... Here's how it turned out. More pictures here: Wallpaper card
7. I had really planned to join the challenges of 2S4Y this year, but ended up just making a few... I'm glad it soon will be 2010 - new year, fresh start :) Here are some more pictures: 2S4Y entry
8. This card just makes me smile. It's one of these cards you have SO clear pictures of in your mind, but when it comes to turning it into real, it lives it's own life. Totally! You may call it magic :) More details: Vennskap
9. I just love doodling. And mixed media. And collaging. And painting. And mixing it all together! I made this card for a class at the Ski gathering and it's one of very few cards that I have had troubles giving away! More about the card: Love
10. The last card I've picked for my list, is a "F I N A L L Y!!!! I'm over the frustrating creative block!!!"-card. I hate those periods. Really! Big time! And the joy I feel when I manage to create again is huge! Details: VennskapWell, that's my list for 2009. Hopefully I'll find joy and pleasure in card making in 2010 too.
*hugs*
Yesterday I finally got to use my new art studio, an oh my - did I have tons of plans! As usual things didn't turned out just as I had planned... This painting has more than 10 layers! I tried and I tried and I tried, but it just didn't work! So frustrating! And I can't blame the new studio - the room is perfect. I guess my fingers just got rusty... Well, the room is inaugurated - that was the main goal for the day :)onsdag, desember 23, 2009

My new dining room is finally ready (or as ready as can be before painting and putting up new wallpaper... which isn't going to happen before Christmas....) I love my new-old furniture! I'm thinking of painting them white... what do you think?
The last year I've been collecting old picture frames... and they've got a temporary 'home' on this wall. I've used plain scapbooking paper in the frames.
The chairs will have new seats... but not before Christmas...
I bought some gorgeous roses yesterday (and sadly they're already hanging....).mandag, desember 21, 2009
Heeey! I've tested my new studio! It's time for some Christmas gift wrapping and I needed some to-and-from-tags. Here are the first 9 - shiny stars :) I've used Spellbinder dies, glimmer mist and some embellishment.
And the studio works! Big time! It's even easy to clean and keep the desk tidy, because almost everything is in reachable distance. Pick what you need - then easy put it back in place. Me like :) Tomorrow I guess I'll have to spend some time buying the gifts that will be wrapped and marked with the fresh'n homemade tags... Yes, I know - I'm running out of time this year too....

Finally!! My new art studio is ready! For the last 3 weeks I've been reorganizing and moving all my stuff to a new room. (The old one will be my office and study room.) And I'm SO satisfied! Plenty of space (compared to the old room...) and practical solutions. A huge desk for cardmaking (picture above) - perfect for me who like to work standing.
Most of my paints and mists and tiny bottles - easy to reach, easy to find. Looove it!
A whiteboard for some of the stamps I use the most.
And a HUGE rack for all my stuff (and believe me - I've dumped a lot of stuff too!).fredag, desember 18, 2009
