Heeeelp!

I seriously need some help! I seriously need some help to get my "making cards is so much fun"-feeling back! It's totally lost! Can you help me? Then you have to do 2 things:

1. I would like to buy some new motif stamps (not text stamps...). Do you have some ideas?

2. I also need a challenge - made by you. Please give me a color-combo, a size and either a sketch or a card to lift. (And, please be kind *lol* If the challenge is too harsh, it'll just make me feel even more lost....)

If you would like to help me by leaving your ideas/challenge in a comment, I'll draw one of you who will get a thank you-surprise from me. Deadline for leaving a comment is Sunday evening, Norwegian time.

So, please help me...

Hugs,
Åshild

Scrapped canvas

"Meet the world with confidence"

I actually made this canvas a while ago, but after the last Art Therapy week it spoke more directly to my heart. I've been so afraid of rejection that I've chosen to protect myself by meeting the world with mistrust. That way I've been kind a prepared for the rejection... what a restricted way of living! I need a new way of thinking. I want to meet the world with confidence and trust.

Kunstterapi - Art Therapy

I feel so lucky! Once again I've had the most fantastic week together with my Art Therapy study group. A week heavy loaded with Psychodrama, and Oh My - what a unique method! If you had told me a week ago that I would enjoy spontanious drama games, I would have laughed as a mad! And if you had told me a week ago that it's more than possible to make a roleplay based on an abstract painting, I would have laughed as a mad! But today I just clap my hands! If you've been wondering about joining some kind of therapy, I warmly recomend Psychodrama!

The picture above is from one of the sessions. The story behind the picture is a bit too personal share with you, but I hope you'll enjoy the colors :)

2S4Y - Kazan's sketch #32

I've used Kazan's sketch to decorate a box filled with gooseberry - fresh from my own garden. The box is a birthday present.
There is a booklet glued on top of the box. (Text say: "Jummy - enjoy your day!")
Inside the booklet there is a greeting along with several recepies for the use of gooseberries.
And - of course - lots of gooseberries:
I hope she likes gooseberries... *lol*

"Instinct of self-preservation"

I've used the morning hours to be creative - can't think of a better way to start a new day :) I made a collage this time, and it's bigger than I usually make'em. This one is ca. 50 x 50 cm, made one paper, not canvas. I've played with wax crayons, paint, decoupage, glimmer mist, scraps...

Wish you all a great day! I'm heading back to work... have to do some stuff for the October issue of Ett trykk.

Kantareller - Chantarelles

I had a walk in the forest this morning, and I started chasing chantarelles. Seems like it's either too early, or maybe the wrong places... but, I did find some - enough to fill up an empty glass. And the glass is decorated, because I'm planning to give it away as a birthday present :)
I punched out a circle so that it's possible to see the chantarelles.
And look at the cute charm I found in one of my drawers!
On top of the lock, I made a booklet for writing a greeting. I also decorated the lock with a ribbon.

Loppishelg 2 - A weekend filled with "second hands"

We saw a couple of these boxes during the weekend, and we did speculate a lot: what the heck is this??? Then, finally, at the last shop, a lady could give us the answer: It's a box for crispy breads! You can mount the box on the wall, fill it with crispies and easily open it when you want one to eat. I love it! Both the design, the color and the practical side of it. Cute, huh? :)
And here is my new newspaper basket:
And finally - my favourite one: An 'advanced' hanger.
I found it in one of the shops, together with this cute apron:
And it's just perfect for all the beautiful cards I received for my birthday!

Loppishelg - A weekend filled with "second hands"

I've had the most fabulous weekend! I travelled to Sweden, to visit my brother and my sister in law - and we had one big plan for the weekend: Visiting as many second hand shops (loppiser) as possible! Saturday we found 8 shops - some good ones, and some not very impressing... But oh my, did we shop! So fun! And on Sunday we visited 5 more, and 2 of them were big ones, with several houses filled with goodies. I'll show you some pictures of my new treasures:

Above: a cute "shelf" for handmade cards, or bills... I'm planning to paint it deep red to match my kitchen.

Under: 2 beautiful hooks, a tiny cup, and old metal box and some lids (or locks? Sorry, don't know the english word...). I got the idea from another blogger to use old lids/locks as hooks, so I'm going to mount them on one of the walls in my bedroom and use them for my juwels. I'll take some pictures when it's all finished :)
I also found these old beauties - and I'm so looking forward to use 'em for some altered projects:
And - lucky me! Several old music sheets for only 20,- NOK! That I can like :)
I also bought this lovely decorated box (glass), and it's already filled with coffee :)
I'll save the rest of the goodies for tomorrow....
So long, friends :)
